The CAM 101 System
- The optical Contact Angle and Surface Tension Meter
Take all all the benefits of the CAM 100 system: simple design including the revolutionary One Touch Dispenser, ease of use, unconditional accuracy and cost-efficiency. The CAM 101 additionally boasts optical measurement of surface tension and absorption of liquids, increased sampling rate an enhanced database system for your prior studies.
The Windows based KSV CAM software allows calculation of contact angles, critical surface tension (Zisman plot) and surface free energy (SFE) of solids (Fowkes, Wu, Acid-Base etc.). Determination of contact angle and surface tension is based on the Young-Laplace equation. Instead of using separate files for each measurement the software contains an internal database system where all the recorded data is stored. This is a convenient method to keep all the data organized for future analysis. To minimize file size, recordings are saved using our proprietary image compression which retains all important information. There are separate editable databases for the storage of physical data of liquids and solids required by the calculation software.
The newly developed "One Touch Dispenser" enables quick and easy manual dispensing simply by creating a pendant drop with the precision syringe and pushing the lever. The auto-capture function of the software allows true one touch operation
